Survey of pain and joint problems after stroke

Survey of pain and joint problems after stroke

We are interested in learning about the issues that people may have developed in their legs and backs since they had their stroke.

THE PROBLEM: The effects of stroke can make walking difficult and change the walking pattern. These changes in the walking pattern could lead to problems like pain and stiffness in the back and legs.

WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO: We are interested in learning about the problems that people with stroke may have developed in their back and legs since they had their stroke. This information may eventually be used to help develop new treatments or new care plans for people with stroke.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: If you you are a person who had a stroke greater than 12 months ago, you can help us. Your involvement in this study will include participating in one online questionnaire that will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. You will answer questions about your stroke and questions about pain and problems in your back and legs (if applicable). Upon completion of the survey, you will have an opportunity to enter a draw to win 1 of 50 gift cards worth $10 for participating in the study. Approximately 260 other people with stroke will take part in the study.
